The French designer Henri Mathieu created this playful wall light in 1970 as part of the Lubéron series.
The Applique (20104/2A) is sober in material but rich in form and imagination, typical for this series. The spiral, a shape that repeats itself endlessly, was an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Mathieu. This twirling sculpture gets really festive when lit. The painted interior creates a sparkling glow of flames: a burning torch on your wall, without the hassle of a burning smell or your house going up in smoke.
