The Dorra Moon Rock is a luminous sculpture, created in 1970 by the French artist André Cazenave, best known for the captivating light objects he produced for the French collective workshop Atelier A.

 

His simple and fresh ideas were carried out in a surprising mix of materials that stir the imagination.This enchanting polyester moon rock exists in several sizes and never looks exactly the same. Switched on or off, this magic stone adds a natural touch to your home.

Atelier A (1969-1972) was a collective enterprise founded in Paris by François Arnal, with the aim to bring artistic vision to everyday household objects and hereby uplift the lives of the common people. It provided a variety of artists with the opportunity to produce prototypes, participate in industrial design or decoration programs, develop shows and audiovisual environments. Artists like Ruth Francken, Enrico Baj, Roy Adzak and André Cazenave found a productive resort for their bold ideas in Atelier A.
