Black and white lacquered aluminium. Good vintage condition.
This playful architectural pendant was created by the Dutch designer J.J.M. Hoogervorst around 1960 for the manufacturer Anvia, a collaboration that generated some of the most iconic lights in the history of Dutch lighting design.
The intersecting metal layers in black and white are connected by a narrow metal rod attaching the bulbholder to the topmost metal layer. The ingenious rubik’s cube generates a sparkling light pattern and holds your attention even switched off with its delightful complexity.
